Introduction

The “People’s Primaries” organized by El Bunker have emerged as a key civic tool for gauging presidential hopefuls’ popularity ahead of Bolivia’s 2025 elections. In the absence of formal party primaries, this citizen-led initiative has mobilized tens of thousands of voters both inside and outside the country.

This article compares results from the Second Primaries to those of the Third, highlighting notable changes per candidate and department, along with trends in the overseas vote.

  • Total Participation:

    • Second Primary: 707,976 votes

    • Third Primary: 816,173 votes
      📈 A 15.2% increase in overall participation

  • Top gains in vote count:

    • Jaime Dunn: +79,742 votes

    • Tuto Quiroga: +65,019 votes

    • Manfred Reyes Villa: +64,642 votes

  • Only candidate to lose support:

    • Samuel Doria Medina: −21,197 votes

The electorate clearly realigned its preferences toward the top three candidates.
